One Richmond Partners with Tat Wong Kung Fu for Self-Defense Workshops in San Francisco’s Richmond District

One Richmond, a program of The Richmond Neighborhood Center, is partnering with Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy to offer a series of self-defense workshops specifically for monolingual Chinese seniors living in the Richmond District. This initiative is part of the response to increasing Anti-Asian racism in the area, aiming to promote safety, confidence, and empowerment within the community.

Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy will host these workshops at their new location at 4801 Geary Blvd, designed to equip older adults with vital self-defense skills. The sessions are prioritized for monolingual Chinese-speaking seniors residing in the Richmond District. If space permits, other community members are welcome to join.
