Live Jazz & Superbowl at Balboa Parklet

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It’s a beautiful day in San Francisco, with a gorgeous weekend predicted! We are officially reopening our BALBOA POPCORN PARKLET starting on Friday, and we’ve got a fun weekend planned!

Friday night at 7pm we are showing the Kevin Smith 90s classic CLERKS. Saturday we have a double shot of fun starting with THE INCREDIBLES at 4pm, and the Balboa favorite THE BIG LEBOWSKI at 7pm (to go along with our amazing new baseball tees and totes-see more below). Sunday we are very excited to bring back our friends DANNY BROWN AND THE NOISE ALL-STARS for a dose of LIVE JAZZ from 1 to 3pm followed by THE SUPER BOWL at 3:30! We have the rest of the month planned as well, with Valentine’s movies the following weekend including a #TotalSF screening of ALWAYS BE MY MAYBE on 2/13 with Heather Knight and Peter Hartlaub, and then BLACK HISTORY MONTH-themed movies for the final two weekends of February including documentaries about A Tribe Called Quest, Miss Sharon Jones, and Aretha Franklin!!!

We have a spectacular, brand new BALBOA DUDE BASEBALL T-SHIRT and TOTE designed by MALCOLM JOHNSON and printed by our friends at BABYLON BURNING! You can grab them online at CINEMASF.COM/MERCH, or at our BALBOA POPCORN POP-UPS this weekend. We will be open Friday from 4 to 7, Saturday from 2 to 7, and Sunday from 1 to 6.

We are featuring one of our favorite breweries this weekend: LAUGHING MONK! We have six different Laughing Monk flavors for you, all pictured below.

This week we are opening FIVE NEW MOVIES in our VIRTUAL SCREENING ROOM! We’re a regular virtual multi-plex over here!!!

Let’s all remember our masks and our social distancing! We’ve come too far to blow it at this point! We can be open and stay safe at the same time.
