WHAT IS BEST BUDDIES?

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

WHAT IS THE FRIENDSHIP WALK?

The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is the leading walk in the country supporting inclusion for people with IDD. The goal of the Friendship Walk is to grow awareness of our mission, raise vital funding for our programs, and celebrate inclusion! Friendship Walks will be held across the country this Spring.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE WALK:

Step 1: Visit www.bestbuddiesfriendshipwalk.org
Step 2: Select your region
Step 3: Click the "register" button in the top right corner
Step 4: Click the "agree" button
Step 5: Input your information in the appropriate fields
Step 6a: To create your team, type in your desired team name and click “CREATE”
Step 6b: To join an existing team, search for the team name in the "join a team" field
Step 7: Optional - Make a donation to kick-start your fundraising!
Step 8: Create a username & password so you can edit your fundraising page Step 9: Click the "submit" button
Step 10: You will receive a link that you can send to your family & friends so they can join your team. They can also join by registering and searching your team name in the “join a team” field.
