Sep 13, 2023 6:00pm-8:30pm (Wednesday) at The Internet Archive 300 Funston Avenue
Curious about your San Francisco house? Its age, who built it, and whether anyone famous lived there? Former WNP Board member and historic preservation consultant Richard Brandi will present a how-to tutorial for searching records that may shed light on the history of your house. This is a technical presentation covering various databases and public archival resources. Searching the history of your house is a lot like being a detective: you follow leads and never know exactly what you’ll find!
This event will be held at The Internet Archive, 300 Funston Avenue. Doors open at 6pm; please arrive promptly at 6 if you are interested in taking a short tour of the Internet Archive’s Great Room. The main program will take place downstairs at 6:30pm and run for approximately 1.5 hours, including Q&A. After the main program, a second tour of the Great Room will be offered for those who can’t make the first tour.
Please register through Eventbrite. This program is $20 for WNP Members (and we absorb your Eventbrite fees) and $30 for non-members.
