ALL we can think about is our BIG b-day party, coming up on Saturday, 16 September. Almost 40 songwriters will play throughout the day, there will be special biscuits, kids face painting, raffle prizes ... This is a Bazaar hootenanny not to be missed!
A big thanks to our regular show curators Matt Jaffe, Drew Pearce, Oscar Plizga, Zeke Ketcham and Tommy P for keeping the heart of this songwriter community beating so strong.
With the big anniversary came a big think: Bazaar needs a leg-up to keep the music and biscuits going, and so we are launching a Kickstarter next week (will email with more details).
This is a little nerve-wrecking - no one likes to admit that they need help. We're incredibly grateful for the support of cafe friends who have jumped in to help set it up, creating beautiful things, brainstorming and encouraging us. THANK YOU!
Far flung friends, you can be part of the festivities too! Share your favorite Bazaar memory ... or why you love Bazaar ... (nothing too incriminating please :-)) on social media, and we'll enter you into the raffle. Just tag us @bazaarcafesf and use the hashtag #BZR25. And tag your friends! Add it to your newsletters! Get a new tattoo! We'd love to reach every cafe friend, old and new, far and near, who hold a little space for this community in their hearts.
This month, the art gallery will display ephemera that celebrate our creative community - posters, Writers Salon zines, Open Mic cartoons, fan art and more!
If you have something fun, let us know, we'll build out the display leading up to the 9/16 party. Pictured left: embroidery by Shane.
