Potluck Book Club
Wednesday, September 27
7:00pm - 10:00pm
Join us for the inaugural book club discussion for Potluck, an event series at Friends & Neighbors.
How it works: We will select a book and a potluck prompt for people to bring a dish to share during the book discussion. Our book club can accommodate up to 12 people.
About the book: September's book pick is What My Bones Know by Stephanie Foo. It's a heavy one -- the sub-headline is "A Memoir of Healing from Complex Trauma." We found it to be a rare and important snapshot into intergenerational trauma in the context of growing up in the Bay Area, and recognize it's not an easy topic to dive into. Due to the sensitive topic, please read more about the book before RSVPing.
Potluck prompt: Bring a dish that reminds you of your hometown.
Agenda
