UPDATE: The SFDPH recommends social distancing to reduce the occasions when large numbers of people come together and potentially are exposed to the virus that is circulating in our community. The recommendations protect the health of vulnerable populations, and ensure that essential public services, such as schools and transportation, are taking steps to protect the public. Check out their website to learn more and be sure to keep washing your hands!

There are renovation plans for California St coming soon and the California Street Safety Project Team and SFMTA want to here your opinion!
Join to the community meeting where experts will provide neighbors with an update on the additional data collection and address questions about the details of the project scope.
The project is anticipated to be implemented in late spring 2020, including:
• “Daylighting” or the removal of parking 10 to 20 feet in advance of an intersection crossing to improve visibility
• Road diet on California Street between Park Presidio and Arguello Boulevard
• Traffic signals on California Street between Arguello and Presidio will be retimed to give people walking additional time to cross while giving California Street more green time to ensure that transit and traffic flows efficiently
Check out the project webpage for a detailed visual of the street design.
